Our Choirs

SUMC is home to two singing groups, the Gospel Group and the Sanctuary Choir. They rehearse on Thursday evenings, and there is a Singing School sandwiched between the two rehearsals. Here is the schedule:

6:30 pm - Gospel Group

7:15 pm - Singing School

7:45 pm - Sanctuary Choir

Our Organs

Our church is home to a two-manual Stuart tracker organ. The Stuart underwent a complete renovation in 2001 which improved its action and increased its brilliance.

Recently we installed a Schlicker organ in Davison Chapel. The organ was dedicated on September 15, 2024. This instrument, obtained through two generous endowments, allows us to use our chapel for smaller, more intimate, services.

The organs are an important part of worship. Sunday preludes and postludes are an opportunity to explore the capabilities of our sanctuary organ.

Connexions Concert Series

Connexions Concerts are held quarterly on Sunday afternoons with light refreshments afterwards. This series was founded in 2008, and provides an opportunity for local singers and musicians to perform, as well as a music venue for members of local communities.
