The Sudbury Savoyards

The Sudbury Savoyards, founded in 1961 and sponsored by the Sudbury United Methodist Church, presented a check for $2,500 from the proceeds of their Summer Show "Our Town" and their Fall Craft Fair. Celebrating their 49th year of presenting Gilbert and Sullivan productions in the winter season, the Savoyards have donated over $175,000 to UMCOR, the United Methodist Committee on Relief, to benefit the relief of world hunger.

The Savoyards recently completed this year’s Gilbert and Sullivan production, “Princess Ida.” As always, proceeds of the show will go to UMCOR to relieve world hunger. For more information on the Savoyards, visit: www.sudburysavoyards.org

Shown in the photo are Bill Johnson, Roy Paro, Paul Sliney, Ellen Simmons, Bev Paro, Pastor Joel Guillemette, John Gorgone, Bill Fisher and Andrea Roessler.
