Because SUMC was constructed by its members, it has never been burdened with a significant mortgage, thus providing an opportunity to reach out with funds as well as labor in the community. It is our goal to provide 10% of the Budget for specific Missional causes, in addition to the Missions supported by our Annual Conference. In all, about 23% of our $500,000 Budget goes to missional priorities.

We were the worship site for Temple Beth El throughout most of the 60’s and Cardinal Cushing became the first Roman Catholic Cardinal to preach in a Protestant Church here in 1964. We were a founding member of the Sudbury Interfaith Association and Jeff Hunt is currently President of that group.
